Create rich content and revisions

In Optimizely Configured Commerce, you can create revisions in the content management sections. You can find this Content section for products, categories, and specifications.

Manually create a revision

  1. Go to the Admin Console and select the product, category, or specification to edit.
  2. Go to Content and click Create Revision.
  3. Click Manually Create Revision.
  4. (Optional) Select the LanguageCustomer Segment, and Device.
  5. Enter the content in the section.
  6. (Optional) Use the Generate option to generate New Content or Rewrite content with the AI-powered tool (beta).
  7. Click Save or Cancel.

A Content Approver or Content Admin can now approve and publish the content.

Create a revision based on a previous revision

You can also edit a previous revision. Select the revision in the table and follow the steps above to edit the content.

Only one unapproved revision is allowed at a time.

Use AI

This feature is currently in beta. Contact your Customer Success Manager or sign up for the beta on Optimizely.com.

Configured Commerce lets you use AI to write or rewrite content descriptions.

  • Click Create Revision > Auto Generate New Content to use AI to write a new content description.
  • Click Create Revision > Auto Rewrite to use AI to rewrite an existing content revision.
