Prepare assets for import

  • Updated

This is a paid service and not self-serve or included with onboarding. Contact your Customer Success or Onboarding Engagement Manager for assistance.

You can upload your existing assets into Optimizely Content Marketing Platform (CMP), creating a single source for storing and accessing anything. Examine each of your teams, organizations, and repositories and gather the assets you need.

The taxonomy you built with your onboarding team controls the library where your assets are stored. You want to apply it to these existing assets retroactively.

To ingest assets, you need assets and a spreadsheet to connect them to fields that are uploaded to your secure file transfer protocol (SFTP). Fields mirror your marketing organization's content taxonomy, letting you organize and filter your marketing content and activities across every CMP module. See Manage fields.

Upload assets to SFTP

With SFTP, you can transfer many file formats (such as Word documents, images, PDFs, Videos, PowerPoint, and so on) to CMP for ingestion.

You should rename unclear files for better search results and user experience.

Prepare asset spreadsheet

Tagging items in the spreadsheet provided by CMP with a taxonomy ensures that users can search and access assets. Your spreadsheet should contain some standard fields for linking (such as File Name) and your taxonomy.
