Integrate Tealium

  • Updated

Import your Tealium AudienceStream audiences to Optimizely Data Platform (ODP) as real-time segments. Then use those real-time segments in Optimizely Web Experimentation, Optimizely Feature Experimentation, or Optimizely Content Management System (CMS) Visitor Groups.

Considerations

  • This integration leverages Tealium’s Optimizely Data Platform Connector to sync your Tealium audiences to ODP, where ODP converts the audiences to real-time segments.
  • You can select your preferred customer identifier in Tealium to pass to ODP.
  • Audience changes are reflected in real-time.

Prerequisites

  • Tealium account
  • ODP account
  • Optimizely Web Experimentation, Optimizely Feature Experimentation, or CMS 11 or 12 account

Enable the integration

  1. Go to the ODP App Directory.
  2. Select the Tealium app.
  3. Click Install App.
  4. Copy the URL, Username, and Password from the Settings tab for use in the Optimizely Data Platform Connector setup in Tealium.

Configure the connector and actions in Tealium

When configuring the Optimizely Data Platform Connector in Tealium, paste the URL, Username, and Password you copied from the app in ODP (see step four).

Then configure two actions for the Optimizely Data Platform Connector:

  • Add user to audience – Adds users to your ODP real-time segment when they join your Tealium audience.
  • Remove user from audience – Removes users from your ODP real-time segment who have left your Tealium audience.

Refer to Tealium's documentation on the Optimizely Data Platform Connector.

Use your Tealium audiences in other Optimizely products

You must configure the ODP integration with your desired Optimizely product before you can access your Tealium audiences in other Optimizely products.
