Optimizely Content Marketing Platform (CMP) lets you create task templates for tasks that repeat regularly. You can save the commonly used data in these templates so that you do not have to enter them every time you create a task. You can customize the task normally after creating it from a template.
Create a task template from within a task
In a task, click More (...) and select Save as template. This saves a copy of the task as a template.
To access this template, go to your avatar > Templates > Tasks.
Duplicate and edit a template
- Go to your avatar > Templates > Task.
- Click More (...) > Duplicate for the task template you want to duplicate. This creates a copy of the task template.
To edit a template, click to open the template and make your changes the same way you would for a task. See Manage tasks for information.
Apply a template when you create a task
- Click Add (+) on the top menu and select Task. The Create New Task window displays.
- Search for and select your template from the Task Template drop-down list. When you select a template, a warning message displays that any details you already entered in the task creation form are overwritten by the template you select. Click Proceed to continue, or click Cancel.
After selecting the template, you can edit the fields and add details for the task. Click Create when you are done.
Apply a task template to an existing task
You can apply a task template to a task you have already created.
Click More (...) beside a task or on the task page and select Edit. This brings up a modal similar to task creation and lets you select a task template to apply. Click Save Changes.
All changes are reflected in the History tab.
