You can create an event segmentation analysis to determine the top categories in which users have played content the most number of times.
- Go to + > Event Segmentation.
- Name your template, add a description, and choose the folder to place it in.
- Choose the preferred measure using the selector. For example, choose Count of Events.
- Click + Add Event in the Events section to select one or more events to analyze. For example, choose Play Content from the Product Events dataset.
- Add a filter to eliminate the Other category from the analysis.
- Click + under Grouped by and choose category_id as the value to group the results by category ID.
- Set the number of top segments to 100.
- Set the time interval to 30 days.
- Click Run to see the aggregated count of each event segmented by categories.
- Click Save.
