Event segmentation overview

An event segmentation in Analytics enables the study of specific events that distinct user groups initiate, showing their actions within your product.

Running an event segmentation analysis helps you analyze the frequency of events during a specified time frame, determine the count of unique users triggering events, and determine the average event count per user.

The following screenshot demonstrates an event segmentation analysis that shows the top categories in the Flix streaming app by total number of plays in the last 30 days. This analysis is segregated by category ID. See Understand an Event Segmentation Analysis for information.
