With Optimizely Configured Commerce, you can use Google's advanced Translations API to auto-translate text-based properties of a product in Product Details for your configured languages. Configured Commerce only supports languages supported by Google, and they must follow Google's standards to avoid errors.
This feature is currently in beta. Contact your Customer Success Manager or sign up for the beta on Optimizely.com.
- Select a product.
- Click the Translate icon beside a text-based field, such as Product title.
- Select the box for each configured language you want to translate and click Translate Selected, or click Translate All.
- (Optional) Edit field values to keep any custom translations.
- Click Save on the Translations modal.
You can go back to the Translations modal by clicking the Translate icon at any time to add or update translations.
Always check the output to see if it translated correctly. AI can be a great assistant to get you started, but it can also make mistakes. If you need to re-translate content with AI, delete the old translation first, then run the translation again
