Integrate Yotpo Ratings & Reviews

The terms audiences and segments are interchangeable. Optimizely has updated all segments to audiences in the Audiences page and is currently working on updating the UI in other pages. See Understand audiences to get information on audiences. 

Sync data from Yotpo Ratings & Reviews to Optimizely Data Platform (ODP) to create and update ODP profiles with product review activities. You can use this data to improve segmentation, personalization, and reporting insights.

Enable the integration

  1. Go to Data Setup > App Directory in ODP.
  2. Select the Yotpo Ratings & Reviews app.
  3. Click Install App.
  4. Go to the Settings tab and click Authorize to let Yotpo authorize the connection with ODP.
  5. Expand Import Historical Products and click Trigger products import to import historical product ratings.
  6. Expand Import Historical Product Reviews and click Trigger product review import to import historical product reviews. ODP collects new reviews and updates in real time, and additional product attributes after the import is triggered.
    Reviews are synced as events where event_type = yotpo_reviews and action = review.

Follow up with review detractors

By creating audiences in ODP, you can target customers who expressed negative feedback or criticisms about products in Yotpo and send them campaigns. This can help you highlight areas for improvement and influence potential customers' perceptions and decisions.

To create a audience: 

  1. Go to Customers > Audiences.
  2. Select Standard Audience and enter an Audience Name (for example, Review Detractors) for the audience.
  3. Click Select and select Yotpo Review.
  4. Click At least 1 time and select how many times a customer should do the action.
  5. Click In the last 7 days and select when you want the customer actions to have occurred.
  6. Apply the Where filter.png filter to the Customers who have done rule. Select Product Review > Score and the product rating. See Manage filters to get information on creating filters.
  7. Click Save.

Target customers who used specific product categories

Target customers based on their review scores of specific product categories on Yotpo. To create the audience:

  1. Go to Customers > Audiences.
  2. Select Standard Audience and enter the Audience Name (for example, Bedding Detractors) for the audience.
  3. Click Select and select Yotpo Review.
  4. Click At least 1 time and select how many times a customer should do the action.
  5. Click In the last 7 days and select when you want the customer actions to have occurred.
  6. Apply the Where filter.png filter to the Customers who have done rule. Select the product type (for example, Product > Shopify Product Type) and the specific products against which the customer provided a review. 
  7. Apply another Where filter.pngfilter to select Product Review > Score and the product rating. 
  8. Click Save.

Boost customer engagement with engaging content

Target customers who provided regular reviews on Yotpo with engaging content and boost customer interactions. To create the segment:

  1. Go to Customers > Audiences.
  2. Select Standard Audience and enter the Audience Name (for example, Promoters) for the audience.
  3. Click Select and select Yotpo Review.
  4. Click At least 1 time and select how many times a customer should do the action.
  5. Click In the last 7 days and select when you want the customer actions to have occurred.
  6. Apply the Where filter.png filter to the Customers who have done rule. Select Product Review > Score and the minimum number of times the customers provided reviews. 
  7. Apply another Where filter.pngfilter to select Content and Contains love
  8. Click Save.
