- Optimizely Web Experimentation
In Optimizely Web Experimentation, you can manage experiments and campaigns. This includes the following:
- Filter experiments and campaigns by status.
- Create, duplicate, and archive experiments and campaigns.
- Rename experiments and campaigns.
Experiments and campaigns live in projects. Learn to manage your projects in Optimizely Web Experimentation.
Optimizely Web Experimentation campaigns can have the following statuses:
Running – The experiment is live and running on your site (as long as the Snippet is present).
Paused – The experiment was running but is currently no trunning. Visitors who were in this experiment while it was live will not continue to see the experiment.
Draft – The experiment is not yet live on your site.
Archived – The experiment is not actively used and will not be included in the snippet.
To see experiments and campaigns by status, click the status drop-down menu and select a status to filter by.
Experiments can be duplicated within their current projects.
To duplicate the experiment, click the More (...) icon and select Duplicate.
Select Duplicate Experiment on the confirmation modal.
Click Done to close the Experiment Duplicated modal.
The Experiments overview page should refresh, and your duplicated experiment/campaign with the name "Copy Of [Name]" displays with the same status as the initial experiment.
You can archive an experiment. When you archive an experiment, you create a snapshot of that experiment's results. You can still reference the experiment details and view its results.
To archive the experiment, click the More (...) icon and select Archive.
Select Archive on the confirmation page.
Click the name of the experiment you want to rename.
Click Settings in the Manage Experiment panel.
Edit the experiment name.
In Optimizely Web Experimentation, you cannot delete experiments or campaigns. Instead, you can archive them.
