Update a customer using preference centers

Use preference centers in Optimizely Data Platform (ODP) to gather user information to personalize your campaigns and increase customer engagement.

Update customer fields

The preference center window displays default elements, such as an Image, a Header, a Text Box, a Checkbox, and a Submit Button. You can customize this further by including additional fields to capture user information. 

  1. Go to Settings > Preference Centers.
  2. Click an existing preference center or create one
  3. Go to Elements > Forms.
  4. Drag and drop a Text Box on the main design page. 
  5. Click the Text Box and access the Details tab.  
  6. Select First Name from the Field drop-down list.
  7. Click Save.

Do not make these fields required because users must be able to update their subscription preferences without supplying information.
