Expired assets

  • Updated

Expired assets in Optimizely Content Marketing Platform (CMP) have an Expired tag on them. When an asset expires, it does not automatically disappear or become unusable. You can still decide what to do with the asset.

You can set expiry dates for assets stored in the Library and uploaded to tasks. You can search for and set a date with a date picker, filter for assets about to expire (or have already expired), and receive email and in-app expiration notifications.

Make the asset expiry date mandatory

You can make asset expiry dates mandatory. CMP offers two settings: one for uploading assets and one for pushing assets from tasks.

  1. Click on your profile and go to Assets.
  2. Set whether to Require Expiry Date for Direct Uploads and Require Expiry Date when Pushing Assets from Tasks. The changes save automatically.

For example, if you require the expiry date for direct uploads, users see a message that the expiry date is required before completing their upload.
