Optimizely Data Platform (ODP) Lite unifies data across existing Optimizely products, allowing you to gain insights on your customers. Architecturally, it utilizes existing functionality from Optimizely Data Platform (ODP), which is Optimizely's full-featured customer data platform. ODP Lite is free to add on to Optimizely products.
The following table compares the feature availability between ODP Lite and ODP.
Get started
See our ODP developer documentation for the first few steps of the ODP Lite setup. Once you implement the ODP JavaScript tag, import your historical data, and sync your ongoing data, you can set up the ODP Lite application for your company.
Manage account settings
Configure and manage all of your company's ODP Lite settings on the Account Settings page. This is where you can manage user accounts and their permissions, your account's time zone, alerts for errors in processes you have running in ODP Lite, data objects and fields, compliance requests, and more. For more information, see our user documentation about ODP Lite account settings.
Analyze customer data using reports
Gain insights on customer behavior using the ODP Lite pre-built reports. Go to Company > Reports to familiarize yourself with these reports. For more information, see our user documentation on ODP Lite reports.
Learn more about your customers
Optimizely Data Platform (ODP) Lite uses the ODP JavaScript tag to track customer behavior on your site. As noted in the ODP developer documentation, the JavaScript tag tracks page view events only. To track additional events (like orders and product detail view), you need to implement custom JavaScript.
ODP Lite tracks these customer events on the Customers > Profiles page. For more information on customer identification, profiles, and more, see our user documentation on Customers.
